Facial Rejuvenation

What is Facial Rejuvenation?

Facial Rejuvenation (Natural Face Lift Massage) is a gentle non-invasive complementary therapy. The therapy combines ancient theory with a practical approach using a wide range of facial massage techniques aimed to promote health, beauty and well-being.

How it works

Over the course of the treatment approximately 52 facial muscles and 18 neck muscles are systematically treated by means of massage and acupressure points.

Facial Rejuvenation

Acupressure points are used based on the principle that vital energy flows freely throughout the body in a series of channels called meridians. The practitioner applies acupressure along the meridian channels at certain acupuncture points on the face and neck to help restore the natural balance of Yin and Yang by freeing our life energy (also referred to as Chi, Qi or Ki). According to this principle, our health is affected when this energy stops flowing freely. Stimulation by ‘Ayurveda Massage & Acupressure’ at various points on the face and neck helps to restore the healthy flow of energy in the body thereby helping to restore the body’s equilibrium by promoting a balanced lifestyle which may prevent the likelihood of succumbing to everyday illness and effects of modern-day stress.

The techniques used in Ayurveda massage are soothing, and relaxing to help promote tissue elasticity and the body’s circulatory systems. Patients often describe the massage technique a little like ironing out the creases, making the skin feel smoother and softer by improving complexion and skin tone.

The combination of different massage techniques and acupressure points are used to suit each individual’s needs. Patients may feel a sensation of tingling when acupressure points are applied, however it should not feel painful.  Patients often notice an improved sense of wellbeing after treatment.

Why choose a Facial Rejuvenation Massage

Tension can easily increase over time in our facial muscles which may be caused by our habitual thoughts, emotions or expressions on our faces predominantly around the eyes and mouth. This can be further exacerbated by other additional factors such as excessive exposure to the sun, poor diet, alcohol, effects of gravity, sleep deprivation and every day stresses and strains which may inhibit our freedom of expression.  Facial rejuvenation massage can help on many levels such as:

  • Releases stress and tension in surrounding muscle contours,

  • Tones and improves the complexion

  • Soothes tension headaches, eye strain and stress-related symptoms

  • Enhances a feeling of well-being and encourages a positive and confident appearance

  • induces deep relaxation to muscle and nerve fibres by helping to restore the body’s vital energy flow (through the stimulation of meridian pathways)

The techniques used can bring a deep feeling of relaxation to the whole body and the noticeable effects can quickly be seen on the face.
