Neck pain

Neck pain may occur for different reasons due to being susceptible to repeated postures, activity, degenerative changes, injury and stress placed on the muscles, nerves and joints.

Pain may radiate from the neck and out towards the shoulder(s) or radiate upwards to become a headache (cervicogenic headache) such as the back of the head or around the eye(s). Periodically some people may experience pain such as pins and needles in their arms, hands or even pain in their lower body parts. Manual workers may experience pain in their neck as a result from heavy/intense duties such as shoulder work. Other people for example may experience neck pain from long periods of computing (e.g. prolonged forward head postures) or driving due to repeated posture activity and stress.

Neck pain

An assessment of neck pain will consist of a wide-spread approach e.g.  involving a thorough history of injury and assessments of the neck, spine, pelvis, shoulders, arms and or lower body parts where necessary. This ensures that Nick will treat the site of pain and other issues within the body structure associated to your symptoms. Like all conditions Nick will enhance the multi-model treatment approach providing manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription and practical advice (where possible) on how to manage your pain.
